Address Unknown by Kressman Taylor
and
Supressed Desires
by Susan Glaspell

Thursday 2nd to Saturday 4th July 2009
Sackville College, East Grinstead

Two great plays by almost forgotten female playwriites of the 20th Century.  Address Unknown by Kressman Taylor charts the rise of the Nazis in Germany as seen through the eyes of two art dealers, one in America and the other in Germany.  Harrowing and insightful, it challenges and stimulates our imagination.  This will be a rehearsed reading of the correspondence between the two men played by Nick Watson and Mike Williams with Caroline Wilkinson directing

Suppressed Desires by Susan Glaspell (co-written with her husband George Cram Cook) is a delightful comedy of the unforeseen effects of psychoanalysis on an American family in the 1920`s.  This is likely to be the UK amateur premier of this piece and is full of fun and wit.  The cast is Rose Smith, Oliver Lewis-Barclay and Alison MacDonald with Nick Watson in the director’s chair.
